The club is administered by 7 Directors, 4 of whom are Regular Members and 3 who are appointed by the Cripple Creek City Council. The 4 elected directors are elected for a two year term by general vote of the membership.
The club employs one independent contractor as a Caretaker for the lakes. He is responsible for reporting to the directors, monitoring the membership and ensuring compliance with club rules. He has the authority to evict and report trespassers to the County Sheriff.
There are 225 memberships. 100 of those are reserved for Cripple Creek (CC) residents. 125 of those are Regular members. If all the CC slots are not filled by CC residents, then those vacant slots may be filled by "Annual members;" these members can be "bumped" out if more CC residents apply. If an Annual member is bumped out, that person would go back to the head of the application list. New non-CC residents who are accepted into the club occupy "Annual" membership slots.
Membership dues are collected from January 1 to March 31. Unpaid memberships create vacancies which can be filled from the waiting list.
The annual membership meeting is usually held the 3d week in March. Topics include reports regarding budget, rules violations, fishing stocking recommendations, sanitation updates, any by-laws revisions and election of two directors.
In early April the Board of Directors meet to consider filling Regular, CC Resident, and Annual membership vacancies and to address any other club administrative business.
May 1 the Club gate is opened to the members. An orientation for new members is held the first weekend the club opens for the season. Ice is usually off the lakes by the 3d week in May.
The lakes are stocked the first time when ice is off the lakes - around the 3d week in May. It is also stocked two more times before holidays.
The Club gate is locked October 31 and the fishing season is over for the year.
